Dada

by T.Rye
(Los Angeles, CA)

In one moment (which you're never really fully prepared for) I lost my best friend and confidant; my grandmother. Her name was Cis, although my sisters and i had called her "Dada". She was an elegant, funny, vibrant and optimistic woman who taught me so much about life. What stood out the most, however, is to never lose your sense of humor!! Laugh. Laugh a lot! Her personality was infectious and I can still hear her laugh today. Her words of wisdom, advice, and memories will all live on.

I owe a lot to my grandmother and will always cherish and remember the time we had together. She's helped mold me into the person I am today. She's still my best friend and confidant and the memories will never fade. In fact, I'm sure she's with me every day. And.....I'm grateful to have gained a guardian angel!!

Miss you, Dada! And Keep them laughing! xx
